The small bowl is finely painted in famille with Chayote, Peache and Pomegranate. Translate Chayote into Chinese and pronounce it to be "Fo Shou Guan", not only means it looks like Budda's palm but also similar to "Happiness". The Chinese believe peaches are one of the healthiest fruits a person can eat, and that they will extend one's lifespan if eaten regularly. For that reason, peaches are a symbol of longevity. They are great gifts for elderly people because they serve to wish them a long and healthy life. Pomegranates are lucky fruits because it has many seeds mean fertility in China. Traditionally, the Chinese believe it is a blessing to have many children and grandchildren. The bottom base has six Chinese characters written for  "Da Qing Guang Xu Nian Zhi".
