This water jar was estimate made in Wu-Dai Dynasty (907-979). It has a melon shape in the middle with elegant milk-white color glaze, the bottom part of body and foot were left unglazed which was the typical craft style for early Ding ware. This water jar was made for water-holding utensils on ancient Chinese literati's writings.
