This celadon-glazed jug estimates from the Five Dynasties to the Song Dynasty (960-1127). It has a thick and dark color glaze with melon-edge indentations on its body. The underbelly and base of the jar are unglazed and have a flat bottom decorated with black disguise earth. This celadon-glazed jar has obvious characteristics of imitating the Guan kilns of the Northern Song Dynasty. It was a item of the literati at that time and is extremely rare.
